Hitachi Data Systems Website

Challenge: Redesign a legacy website to showcase the many and varied products and services offered by HDS to a global audience

Working with large internal and client side teams, I lead the digital experience design direction for Epsilon in redesigning the Hitachi Data Systems website. I lead a team consisting of other UX designers, a content strategist and several visual designers, project and account team members and the client through a focused user-centered design process.

Conducting customer research, interviewing customers, working with stakeholders to create personas that represent the wide and varied needs of the client. We created scenarios and flows to optimize different goals and created prototypes on the desktop and mobile to quickly convey our meaning while other team members started in on the content direction  and visual design elements.

The client has a wide variety of hardware, software and service solutions, corporate initiatives, a deep news archive, technical documents and events that needed clear information architecture rework. All the while working with our technical partners to pull it all off in the content management system.

Services provided:

  • Design team leadership

  • Time and effort sizing and project estimation

  • Customer research and stakeholder interviews

  • Oversight of creations of scenarios and flows

  • Oversight of creation of clickable/tappable prototypes

  • Mentorship to junior designers
